NEW interview: Jon Hamm from "Mad Men"

Q: Do you feel like you've been singled out as "the star"?
Jon:
There's no star on this show. There's no kind of weird political dynamic to it. It's just a nice environment to be creative in and to feel like you can really achieve something - better than most. And we have all come from jobs that weren't the most creatively fulfilling. And then you come to this and you realize you're lucky. And there's not a lot of people who get to say that.

Q: How much do the costumes and the set play in to you slipping into character?
Jon: It's a combination. It is really remarkable to be on this set, surrounded by these people in this world. And when you're cinched in to all that stuff - for the girls it's worse with 15 layers of undergarments - but it helps. It all helps. It all serves to remind you that you are in this different world.
