If only I did the casting...

Openly gay Brit actor, Antony Cotton (pictured), bemoans the fact that his soap is lacking in the lavender department (he's usually the only gay in the village). Cotton, who plays the gay Sean Tully, on the long running international hit soap opera, Coronation Street, recently said: "The story goes that one person in ten is gay. We've got 70 people in ours [Coronation Street] so there should be seven gay characters at least. Especially as Weatherfield is the gayest place on the planet as far as female characters are concerned! It's the campest show on TV at times."

I couldn't agree more with you, Antony, the show does need more gay characters. As a Corrie fan, I'd like to see one of my favourite actors from the soap play a gay character on the show, even if it is for just one night (did I just say that out loud?). I nominate the sexy, shirtless hunk pictured below...

Gray O'Brien plays the villainous Tony Gordon on Coronation Street. Woof!
