CBC reports:
"The opportunity to recognize the laureate's contributions to the world peace movement will be an awe-inspiring experience," the Smiths said in a joint statement. "We are both humbled and honoured to take part in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert this year."

This year's lineup in Norway:

  • Haitian-American musician Wyclef Jean
  • U.S. country singer-songwriter Toby Keith
  • U.S. disco queen Donna Summer

  • Blues-jazz duet Amadou & Mariam from Mali
    • The show is held Dec. 11, the day after the Nobel Prizes, created by Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel, are handed out. Nobel died Dec. 10, 1896.
