British Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

British composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, a spokeswoman said today in a statement: "the condition is in its very early stages. Andrew is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year."

We wish him a speedy recovery!

Andrew Lloyd Webber has had one of the most remarkable careers ever in musical theatre. His hits have include Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats and Evita. Fans of the phenomenally successful musical Phantom of the Opera were ecstatic when Lloyd Webber recently announced his plans for a sequel! The new musical, Love Never Dies, will premiere in London in March of next year and then on Broadway in November, 2010.
