Survivors of AIDS Epidemic Now Reaching Retirement Age

The Tyee has a very interesting article on a report by the Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange which highlights the fact that approximately nine per cent of all individuals living with HIV in Canada are over the age of 50.

The Tyee reports:
There is no data on how many of these individuals over 50 are in fact gay, though the 2008 statistics suggest 51 per cent of all patients living with HIV in Canada were gay men or "men that have sex with other men." What will happen to them as they enter an already overcrowded care system?
